Empirical Analysis of the Influencing Factors on the Export of Chinese Herbal Medicines in Gansu under the Background of RCEP

Abstract
As Gansu's advantageous and characteristic agricultural products, Chinese herbal medicines have export potential and competitiveness in the international market. The formal entry into force of the RCEP agreement has brought broad market opportunities for the export growth of Gansu's Chinese herbal medicines. This paper takes the signing of the RCEP agreement in 2020 as the cut-off point, compares and analyzes the changes in the production and export of Chinese herbal medicines in Gansu, and empirically analyzes representative variables selected from four aspects, namely, market demand, production and supply, logistics and transportation, and trade facilitation, by using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Factor Analysis, to study the influencing factors of the export of Gansu's Chinese herbal medicines to the member countries of the RCEP, and the results show that The results show that "production capacity and logistics efficiency", "export scale and price" are the core factors influencing the export of Chinese herbal medicines from Gansu to RCEP member countries.
