Abstract
CG concept design, also known as digital painting, is an art form that utilizes computers, drawing tablets, and digital painting software (such as Photoshop, Procreate, Krita, etc.) to create artwork. It combines the techniques of traditional painting with the advantages of digital technology. The emergence and development of its unique form is closely tied to the growing demand in the commercial market. Using Craig Mullins' works as a starting point, this analysis explores the gradual maturation of CG design in the entertainment industry and its connection to traditional painting.
