Abstract
The work time pressure and overwork have become common issues among workers. Based on resource conservation theory and stress-emotion theory, we investigated 350 employed individuals by descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, and found challenging work time pressure influence overwork, hindering work time pressure influence overwork and psychological capital influence overwork. We found challenging work time pressure affects overwork, hindering work time pressure positively affects overwork. Psychological capital influences the relationship between work time pressure and overwork: as psychological capital rises, the adverse effects of challenging work time pressure on overwork intensify, while the beneficial impact of hindering work time pressure on overwork diminishes.
