Current Situation and Countermeasures of School Sports Disputes in Contemporary China

Abstract

Frequent school sports disputes not only disrupt normal campus teaching order and restrict the normal development of school sports activities, but also easily lead to conflicts between families and schools, social public opinion disputes, and become a prominent pain point hindering the high-quality development of school sports. This article systematically reviews the research results related to school sports disputes at home and abroad, combines the latest laws and regulations, and relies on typical cases of judicial judgments in the past three years to analyze the current development status, main types, and core causes of school sports disputes in contemporary China. It also sorts out the institutional shortcomings, implementation loopholes, and governance difficulties in the current dispute resolution mechanism. Research has found that there are prominent problems in current school sports disputes in China, such as vague responsibility definition, incomplete risk prevention and control system, single dispute resolution channels, and imbalanced mechanism for matching rights and responsibilities. Based on this, this article proposes practical and feasible optimization measures from five dimensions: improving the legal system, campus risk prevention and control, diversified dispute resolution, collaborative governance between families and schools, and building a security system. The aim is to construct a full chain governance system of "prevention in advance, control during the event, and proper disposal after the event".
