Abstract
Integrating ideological and political education elements into college students' mental health courses helps them develop correct values and lays a foundation for nurturing the pillars of the nation. In the new era, China's education authorities increasingly emphasize college students' mental health education, while placing greater focus on curriculum-based ideological and political education, thereby comprehensively cultivating students' ideological and political literacy. To further optimize mental health education for college students, it is crucial to explore the integration of ideological and political elements. This study combines theoretical analysis with practical case studies and summarizes integration strategies from three perspectives: permeation, linkage, and empathy. Incorporating ideological and political elements into college students' mental health education holds multifaceted significance and value. Therefore, it is necessary to deepen this integration, employ new methods, and combine practical activities to ensure that the fusion of the two carries substantial educational value.
