Abstract
The modernization of university governance is the key to the high-quality development of higher education. Its essence is to achieve the resonance between governance efficiency and educational mission through institutional innovation, technology empowerment, and cultural leadership. Educational evaluation reform serves as a critical breakthrough point for advancing the modernization of university governance systems and governance capacities. Its core lies in resolving the structural contradictions inherent in traditional governance models through innovative evaluation mechanisms. Educational evaluation reform must commence with the principle of "abolishing the five-only criteria" and through a systematic reconstruction of evaluation philosophies, methodologies, and institutional frameworks, provide both instrumental support and value orientation for the modernization of governance. The research of educational evaluation reform and its promotion of university governance modernization holds great significance. Based on the analysis of the current situation, existing problems and principles of university governance, this article explores the path for promoting university governance modernization through educational evaluation reform, with the aim of providing reference for higher education reform and university governance modernization.
