Abstract
The educator spirit, serving as the fundamental guiding force for faculty development in the new era, embodies six core attributes: ideal convictions, moral integrity, pedagogical wisdom, dedicated work ethic, compassionate care, and cultural mission. These qualities provide value-oriented guidance for the professional growth of university teachers. Currently, faculty members face challenges such as utilitarian research practices and the marginalization of educational functions, which undermine the essence of teaching. To address these issues, it is imperative to reconstruct value systems and innovate evaluation mechanisms, internalizing the educator spirit through ethical cultivation and specialized training. Innovative evaluation mechanisms should abolish the "five only" evaluation criteria, construct a multivariate evaluation system, and strengthen the orientation of education. Concurrently, initiatives such as master teacher studios should be developed to foster wisdom transmission, while delegating teaching autonomy can stimulate innovation. Cultivating a culture that respects educators and values teaching is equally critical. Through coordinated efforts in value reconstruction and institutional innovation, the educator spirit will drive the high-quality development of university faculty, effectively fulfilling the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education.
