Abstract
Under the background of the modernization of education and the connotative development of higher education, the transformation of the work of counselors from "extensive management" to "refined service" is an inevitable result of real challenges and theoretical innovation. The refinement of the work of counselors is based on routine management, subdividing and optimizing management goals and processes, using modern information technology to achieve precise and efficient operations, balancing scientific and humanistic spirit, focusing on details, processes, and results. It is of great significance to conform to the management philosophy of universities, enhance the professional abilities of counselors, and strengthen humanistic care. It is necessary to improve the tiered training system for counselors, implement differentiated performance evaluation, establish a dual-channel career development, and build a data system for student growth to construct a guarantee system for the refinement of counselor work. In the future, it is also necessary to explore the boundaries of AI empowerment, develop quantitative evaluation tools, and build a refined service system under an international context, in order to promote the high-quality development of counselor work and help realize the fundamental task of cultivating ethic and talent.
