Abstract
Labour education is an essential part of the primary education system. Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching paradigm that’s solidly integrated practice with knowledge. It is an effective way to improve the practical and educational value of labor education. This article conducts a review of design principles, implementation framework, teacher development mechanism, home-school-community collaboration mechanism and management support system of primary school labour education school-based curriculum from a Pbl perspective Moreover, it presents a brief overview of its existence, organization, and essential documents, culminating in the principle of mediation and the impact of executive agreements upon treaties. The research demonstrates that the implementation of PBL has notably facilitated the transition of the labor education at primary school from a mere skill-training orientation to the one aimed at competency cultivation. Despite this, effective implementation and scientific evaluation remain challenging due to constraints such as teacher professional capacity, resource integration, and evaluation tool development. Looking into the future, in-depth interdisciplinary teacher collaborative research, intelligent evaluation and tracking tool development, and high-quality longitudinal empirical research will be the key directions for further advancement in this field.
