Abstract
Under the dual background of social digital intelligence transformation and aging, the impact of the Internet on the aging attitude of the elderly needs to be clarified. Based on the data of the 2020 China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey (CLASS), an OLS regression model was used to empirically examine the effects of Internet use on the aging attitudes of the elderly and its mechanism of action. The study found that: the higher the level of Internet use, the more positive the aging attitudes of the elderly; Internet use establishes positive aging attitudes by enhancing the social adaptability of the elderly; and there is group heterogeneity in the impact of Internet use on the aging attitudes of the elderly. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the intervention of digital literacy enhancement for the elderly; promote the optimization of Internet aging; and strengthen the policy support and resource tendency.
