Abstract
With a substantial elderly population and growing healthcare demands in Xi’an, existing public medical services face significant challenges. This study explores elderly - friendly medical innovations leveraging AI voice interaction technology. Research reveals that seniors encounter multiple difficulties during medical visits, highlighting a strong demand for accessible voice-enabled healthcare solutions. Three core application scenarios - intelligent triage guidance, remote diagnosis, and health management - have been designed to address key pain points: difficulty locating departments, communication barriers, and inadequate health monitoring. Localized innovations for Xi’an include dialect adaptation, multimodal interaction, and public service integration, which collectively enhance service quality and efficiency. While challenges such as dialect recognition, terminology processing, the digital divide, and trust-building persist, targeted optimization strategies can overcome these barriers. Looking ahead, with technological advancements and societal support, this initiative holds promising prospects for contributing to Xi’an’s smart city development and improving seniors’ quality of life and well-being.
