The Predicament and Coping Strategies of Self-actualization under the New Alienation of Labor

Abstract

With the rapid development of contemporary technology, human status is facing challenges, leading to a new phenomenon of self-alienation, that is, the relationship between people and labor at the conscious level has changed. Under this new background of alienation, self-actualization has become complex, involving the repositioning of the subject-object status between humans and machines as well as the gradual weakening of people's subjectivity. In the face of such challenges, people can promote the process of self-actualization by enhancing their initiative, reducing dependence, expanding their thinking space, and maintaining a mindset of “sustainable development”.
